Pacific Beach’s local artist, Karin Phifer, runs the Sandphifer Gallery and it is worth seeing. Karin uses many different mediums for her art and her husband creates wood sculptures. From jewelry to large original pieces and whimsical fish – everyone is bound to find something they like.

And of course, Seabrook is a short 5 min drive south of Pacific Beach or about a 25 min walk along the beach – just be wary of high tide because the walk involves crossing Joe’s creek just south of the state park. During high-tide, the creek can get up to waist high, but typically, the creek is a fairly shallow, below the knee, crossing
